  Index, Washington If you are looking for a weekend getaway in the PNW this summer, Index, Washington is calling your name. Only a 1-hour drive from Seattle, Washington and you are immediately submerged into the beauty of everything the PNW has to offer.  We spent our first day hiking up to Lake Serene which was an 8 mile out and back hike in Gold Bar, Washington. The views were stunning, and the water was freezing but the jump in was 100% worth it. We checked into a Yurt Airbnb in Baring, Washington and went to Pie Dive Bar for dinner. We ordered the brisket mac n cheese pie and two amazing cocktails. After we ate, we played a couple games of pool and then cornhole outside. If you like espresso martinis you have to try this one! The next morning, we went to Espresso Chalet which is known for the stunning views of Mt.
